Domenico Kaunang was born in Indonesia and was a noted young fashion designer in Jakarta, Indonesia's capital city, before leaving for Europe and embarking on a career in fashion design in the UK.

He studied at the prestigious London School of Fashion and was head designer at a West End fashion house for some years. He moved to Brighton and set up his own design studio and boutique in 1990, where he has established a reputation for excellent design and workmanship as well as friendly personal service for his customers.
